Watch: Sleigh Bells Unleash “Infinity Guitars” Video
You might expect Magnum P.I. himself to step out of the ’80s Ferrari in the clip above, but you’ll be happy to discover that, instead of Tom Selleck, Sleigh Bells frontwoman Alexis Krauss shows up wielding a baseball bat while guitarist Derek Miller is armed only with his Jackson ax and John Bender jean jacket. Their menacing stroll works well to build up anticipation for the Treats cut’s ending, in which the pair turn it up to 11 while a pyre of six-strings burns in director Phil Pinto’s “Infinity Guitars” video.

FYF Fest 2010
Well I went to FYF Fest at LA State Historic Park and with some friends this weekend and I have to say it was pretty awesome. Lot’s of great bands, cheap tickets, and a good location made for a great festival. It’s just cool to see and meet other weird people who have a similar taste in music as you.
My favorites from the fest were definitely Titus Andronicus. They’re one of the best life bands I’ve seen. Their music is so intense and rock and roll that you have to pogo around in a pit with a ton of strangers and lots of dust. The Mountain Goats were pretty different from Titus but great for other reasons. I’d forgotten how much I loved their heartfelt lyrics and beautiful songs—definitely recommend.
Most of the day went smoothly but there were a few points where it broke down. The will call line situation was not much better than the complaints I heard about last year’s fest. We had to wait a couple hours just to get in. Other than that, it was a ton a fun and I hope it’s on again next year.

A few more pics and my favorite tracks from the fest below…
